What is emu oil?

High in skin-nourishing fats (like the fatty acids linoleic acid and oleic acid), emu oil has anti-inflammatory and deeply penetrative moisturizing properties. Skin conditions tend to respond well to the anti-inflammatory properties, which soothe the skin and help relieve inflammation. The oil is white to slightly yellow in color, odorless and melts to clear oil. It is non-toxic (therefore edible), non-allergenic in its pure form and non-irritant to mucous membranes. The oil is chemically stable at room temperatures. It can withstand temperatures up to 144 degrees centigrade before igniting.

So… I can use emu oil for anything?

Yep! Our emu oil comes to you in it’s purest form—straight from the emu and untouched by preservatives, parabens, or any other harsh chemicals. With it’s intensely moisturizing properties, we encourage our customers not to mix the product with any other products, as these chemicals will work their way into your system along with the emu oil. While emu oil is 100% organic and pure, the chemicals you might mix it with may not be. If you are using our emu oil as a carrier oil, please be aware the intensity of your essential oil may be magnified and possibly harmful.
